Okay, so you want to register a domain? What do you do?
Firstly, choose a domain registrar. A google search for "domain names" will give you a starting point.
There are a few things to consider when registering, but they all offer basically the same service, unless if you want to do something special. You might want to look up a quick review or two.
Almost everyone offers web hosting, email hosting and dns hosting. Almost always dns hosting is included, but web and email hosting isn't. If dns hosting isn't included, you don't usually need it anyway, so don't bother paying for it.
Once you have picked someone, go to their website, type in the domain(s) you want, and click "register".
You will need to put in some details, etc. If you have someone making a website for you, put in their details for the "technical contact". You will also need to pay.
It will take a little while for the domains to come into existance - upto 48 hours in some cases. Just be patient.comments powered by Disqus
